Who are the guys behind My DIY Tools

I’m a fan of DIY, but you probably guessed that already! With a few years too many under my belt I decided to share some of the information I’ve picked up to do with projects and DIY over the years. There are so many great tool manufacturers around, and classic tools which you can pick up at second hand places, however I all too often see people using second rate tools, or machines they don’t know how to operate and get a second rate result.
DIY and the environment
There are some great companies out there trying to make an impact on our dwindling resources. I am a green fan, always have been. If you can repair something why chuck it out? Loads of DIY projects (intl) revolve around repairs and maintenance, and recycling interior stuff as well as repairing the tools you use, rather than buying new ones is a small concession to the green movement and saving resources. There are some very well known companies I use for tool repair and even the big names I worked for make concessions these days like B&Q’s FSC DIY shutters. It‘s great to see the big names leading the way to greener living. You’ve probably heard of these guys freecycle and I know there’s some vultures out there, but sometimes you find some useful second hand stuff which is ideal for a DIY project, or you can offload your bits and pieces without landfilling it, to a good home generally.
So with a bunch of experience, some great repaired tools, and projects from the real world, I think you will find a load of useful info on our site relating to your projects. I hope you visit our FAQ section which goes through some of the more pressing matters about tools and what they are for etc. and if you ever get any questions don’t hesitate to contact us and we will help out with most requests.
I am also available for a range of tasks with DIY and building so again contact us for a chat or quotation for your project if you need to bring in some extra hands.
